Malibu Boats Aquafest Three Event Tournament - Lake Hood - 31 Jan/1 February 2009
Very warm and calm conditions saw some great performances at the Malibu Boats sponsored Clearwater Club Aquafest. The tournament saw records fall and numerous personal bests achieved.

Karl Donaldson set a new Canterbury Under 21 Mens slalom record with 3 buoys on the 12m line at 58kph, taking the tournament's open and overall title in the process. Lachie McPhail scored 2 on the 12m line at 58kph to set a new Canterbury Boys slalom record and Andrew James equalled the National Senior Mens 2 record of 4 on the 12m line at 55kph. Rebecca Summerill equalled her Canterbury Under 21 Womens record of one at 55kph.
