CWSA Briefs
Next season, where possible, the CWSA Three event tournaments will be run with slalom on one day and trick and jump on the other to hopefully attract more entries.

The 2011 National Champs will be held at Lake Crichton, beginning on 21st March next year. The CWSA is looking for volunteers and funding assistance to hold the tournament.

All CWSA members are being encouraged to upskill their grades and "learn jobs".

Fund Raiser
Four Canterbury skiers will represent New Zealand this season. They are, Rachel Donaldson, Junior Worlds and Asian Australasian Champs, Alex King, Junior Worlds, and Andrew James and Craig Rogers who will attend the Senior Worlds. A fundraising evening is being held at the Carlton Hotel on 10th July to asist these skiers with costs. The evening will include spot prizes, entertainment and a guest speaker. For more info please contact Charlotte Lynch at siandchar@xtra.co.nz. Entry will be $20 per ticket available from CWSA members.

The CWSA is to purchase the Splasheye system to assist with the judging of jump and slalom events at Canterbury tournament sites.

Congratulations Rachel and Alex

Cantabrians, Rachel Donaldson (top) and Alex King (lower) have been selected for the NZ team at the Junior Worlds in Italy. Rachel has also been selected to the NZ team for the Asian/Australasian Champs. Both are currently training in the States. We congratulate them on their achievements and wish them all the very best as they represent the rest of us Kiwis on the world stage.

Pic of Rachel is from Aquafest 2010 at Lake Hood and Alex during the Lemonsqueezer round at Northbrook Waters.
