Canadian and regular Pro Am competitor, Jaret Llewelyn gets
a little sideways off the jump at Lake Crichton. Jaret didn't have a good start to the tournament with his gear going missing enroute to NZ. However he won the jump head to head and was second in the jump final.

 

Lake Crichton Pro Am Championship
2 - 4 March 2007

 

The fourth running of the Lake Crichton Pro Am was held at Lake Crichton during the weekend 2 - 4 March 2007.
The event lived up to the reputation established from the previous Pro Ams held in 2003, 2004 and 2005 with a large number of inetrnational skiers making the trip to NZ.
Karina Nowlan (Australia) won Saturday's Womens Slalom Final and Sunday's Slalom Head to Head, Thomas Degasperi (Italy) won the Mens Slalom Final and Slalom Head to Head, Jaret Llewellyn (Canada) took the Tricks Final on Saturday and Sunday's Jump Head to Head. Ryan Fitts (USA) won the Jump Final held on Saturday. With consistent high scores through the trick, jump and slalom events Jason Seels (UK) was the overall Pro Am Champion.

West Coast Slalom specialist, Marcus Brown was a spectacular addition to the field of professional skiers at the Pro Am. He was second in the mens final and fourth in Sunday's head to head.

Ryan Fitts gets cranked up cutting to the jump. He won the jump final and was second to Jaret Llewelyn in the jump head to head.

 

Kiwi skier Kyle Eade jumping in the head to head jump off. Kyle was third in the Pro Am overall results.

Trent Finalyson from Canada finished fourth equal with Jason Seels in the Mens Slalom.

Italian Thomas Degaspari displayed the style that has made him world number 1, winning the Mens slalom final on Saturday and the head to head event on Sunday.
Terry Winter, also an advocate of West Coast Slalom skied to second equal with Jason Seels in the slalom head to head.
